Birthday Cake Protein Shake
Happy bloggiversary to me!!! It’s MostlyWholeFoodie’s first birthday this week and to celebrate I made a cake! Well, sort of.. this birthday cake protein shake is a healthy way to celebrate anyone’s birthday .. or any day of the week ..or just because!
Here’s what you need:
- Frozen banana
- 1 cup of your favorite almond milk
- 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-3 drops almond extract
- 1 Tbsp sprinkles (optional- but not really..)
Just put your frozen banana pieces and almond milk into the blender
Top with your vanilla protein powder- (I happen to have vanilla cake flavor right now!) vanilla & almond extracts and blend
Add in the sprinkles and pulse a few more times
and you’re done! A few more sprinkles on top won’t kill ya, either!
This is intended to be a thinker shake to mimic the consistency of cake batter 🙂
